Spotted in the Walmart parking lot: Convertible wagon? Chevy Rampside reborn? Doorside? Early Avalanche prototype?
Front seat is intact, there is a Taxi divider type window arrangement behind the front seat, and a roll up rear window(?).

Despite every scientific advancement we've made, there are some things humanity cannot understand.

I mean, I like where their head is at, but the execution of the idea is .... less than stellar.

And yet you can’t buy a brand new car (that isn’t approved for the U.S.) from the factory elsewhere in the world and import it till it’s safely 25 years old.
Good job America. Keeping U.S. highways safe, keeping you safe. Go NHTSA, yay.

In 15 years when New York’s salt finally eats this thing alive, the owner will undoubtedly be in the market for an Aztek.

And, it’s still not hard to find a shop that will sell you an inspection sticker, fudge the emissions part with a stand in vehicle, and off you go!

Azteks are proof that blind people buy cars.

I guess, but is it for the driver, or the car itself...?

Here we don’t have stickers on plates or stuff. ANPR cameras can check every licence plate and cross check it for drug ‘markers’, insurance, MOT (vehicle tested) status, etc... MOT test stations are quite often checked, some may pull a fast one for a while but will get caught and MOT status removed.

That’s true, but I was only in there to get directions on how to get away from there.

Even better, if you are from, let’s say Mexico and drive a 2009 Ford Focus RS Mk 2, for example, you can happily drive that thing right across the border without making any adjustments to the emissions or safety features of the car. And yet you can’t own one in the U.S. until it’s 25 years old. So it magically became safer by crossing the border? ‘Murica - Where the magic happens!
